Menter Aberystwyth’s Aber First Awards are designed to acknowledge the hard work and outstanding contributions displayed by individuals, organisations and businesses in the Aberystwyth area.
There are usually twelve awards in total each designed to reflect a different category of outstanding performance together with a further Overall Business of the Year Award.
Up to three finalists in each category are selected through a rigorous process of application, short-listing and final judging by an independent panel of experts.
Each year, a ceremony is held in June to celebrate the Aber First Awards. Shortlisters and sponsors are invited to the ceremony to support, and celebrate our fantastic community.

We also have a Public Vote award, which is our Event of the Year Award. You can vote for up to three events from the year previous. You can usually vote between March and the middle of May.
