For 2023 we have 12 awards in total, suitable for individuals, organisations or businesses. You are welcome to nominate or self-nominate for more than one award, but please ensure the information you provide is relevant to that specific award (as this is what you’ll be judged on!).

Green Award

Do you know an environmental champion? We want to celebrate green initiatives by individuals, businesses and groups in the local community.

The Retail Award

Rewarding excellence within the Menter Aberystwyth area to businesses selling goods and services. Have you received excellent customer service or a great shopping experience? We want to know!

Food and Drink Award

Celebrating the cafes, bars, restaurants and chefs in the Menter Aberystwyth area which have excelled in the last year.

Encouraging Community Award

Tell us about businesses and organisations whose actions have improved or enhanced our local community – we want to celebrate what they do!

Celebrating New Business Award

This award highlights the achievements of new business start-ups that have been open 3 years or less.

Arts and Literature Award

Open to anyone who promotes visual or performing arts such as: authors, music venues, choirs, dance groups, art classes and more.

Welsh Language Award

Open to individuals (including learners and teachers), businesses and organisations who celebrate and support the Welsh language in the area.

Community Hero Award

Do you know of someone who deserves recognition for their individual contribution to the community? We want to celebrate those heroes!

Tourism Award

Celebrating businesses who work to make Aberystwyth a fantastic visitor destination.

Investing in the Young

Do you know an individual, group or organisation who has made a real difference to the life of a young person or young people? From teachers to teaching assistants, youth group leaders and others, let’s celebrate those who make a difference to the young people of our community.
